[LOVE - BEAUTY - YOU]

Wedding - Raining Love -Melt Me Smile

Mike and Julie are married!!! I was so lucky to meet Julie when she was a student at UC Berkley and I was working as a recruiter at KPMG, and the first memory I have of her was this beautiful sweet smile. Julie is just a beautiful person inside and out and when she donated her hair for Locks of Love (great organization please click here to check it out) along with other KPMGers I was able to meet Mike as he was there to support her and make a radiating smile beam more than I thought possible. So fast forward about four years and  here we are on their wedding day!

Most brides fear rain for their wedding day but Julie's smile never faded and it honestly didn't even seem to stress her out or worry her for a minute. I think I was way more concerned for her than she was because I wanted her day to be perfect and we were at this gorgeous location of Nestledown in Los Gatos, CA and from a photography stand point it just doesn't get much better than this for a wedding venue. It was raining and when Mike got out of the car it stopped and he decided to go for it and get married outside!!! At first a few of us thought he was crazy... I was wearing rain boots for a reason... but the rain held long enough for the ceremony, family portraits, and to snap away at this beautiful couple!

Below are the vendors she used and four of them really impressed me so I have to share with you why!

Brooke Greene from Nestledown - Brooke is a coordinating rock star! This venue goes above and beyond of thinking about every detail. Julie got ready in the house that's on the property; not only were snacks, drinks, and other goodies prepared but they even drove all of the bridal party's cars into the main parking lot so the bridal party wouldn't have to worry about it! Plus in the rain she didn't panic for a second and ran the event with a smile and a true level of professionalism. Her staff was so easy to work with too!

Paul Alexander the Caterer - When I met Paul I didn't even know he was the caterer until the reception because he was drying all of the guest chairs before the ceremony, helped Brooke bussel Julie's dress, and brought Julie and Mike Champagne after the ceremony. Brooke and Paul worked so well together I just thought they were a team not realizing he was a caterer that went above and beyond. Impressive!

Justin Maguda the Videographer - Justin was so easy to work with and even-though we just met that day we were able to work like a team to make sure everything was covered. He was the perfect blend you want your videographer to have because he knew when to jump in and when to hang back in order to get the job done. Plus he was just fun to work with!

Dave Hosley the DJ - WOW!!!! Here I am listening to "Apple Bottom Jeans" by Nelly and then I look over to see that Dave is actually singing it!!! What!?! Yes, that's right and he continued to amazing me the whole night switching from country, hip hop, R&B, Oldies, and you name it he was singing it! I wish I could be as cool as Dave! Seriously, he is amazing!!!

Maternity - LOVE - Photo Bug

Here are the Kimballs and Lindsey (the pregnant beauty) is a photographer too! When she asked me to take their pictures I was so flattered and nervous because we always have a vision of how we want to look and a photographer's vision can be intimidating to match.

Lindsey was so sweet the whole session and even though I told her to feel free to boss me around she wouldn't so I had to do all of the bossing. Thankfully Tyler didn't mind and their love for each other took over each frame. When that happens at a photo shoot I can just relax because the hard part is done and love like that I can't even try to fake. Here are a few shots from our time together.

On their wedding day Lindsey carried these lockets of her grandparents down the aisle. Family is so important for me so when a client/friend can include these details it makes all the difference and it lets me capture not just memories but a family's history. This is my favorite part about what I do.

They didn't find out what they were having so they named the baby "Reptar" and as Lindsey has been documenting everything Tyler picked up this cute little snuggle toy in New Mexico to give to the baby. We both agreed it totally looks like, "ALF."

Children - Cat in the Hat - Wide Eyed

Advisory warning! Before you look at these know you are about to see photographs of a cute little boy named Logan, with really stunning eyes that you can't stop looking at! This little guy has the most beautiful wide eyes I have ever seen and a cute little personality to go with it! We had such a great time watching Logan play with balloons, hangout with his parents, and eat his first cupcake! YUM!

Look at you're own will.... don't say I didn't warn you about his eyes!
